Location: Newark, NJ, USA
Duration: Long term contract/Fulltime Experience required: 6-15 years
Type: Fulltime or Contract Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling for Financial Services platform.
- Create Logical and Physical Data Models based on data in existing systems and new business requirements
- Enhance the Canonical Data Model for the Enterprise
- Work with the development teams in deploying and populating the physical data model
- Provide direction and support for the data consumption services
- Implement the data model enhancements
- Work with various development teams to provide an understanding of the data and the data model
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
- Fifteen (15+) years of data modeling, database design and development or related experience is required.
- Experience in the Securities or Financial Services industry.
- Required Qualifications: (Most important to least)
- Experience modeling Financial data
- Good knowledge of Financial Accounts, Transactions and Positions data
- Hands-on experience with any RDBMS, preferably MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Good SQL knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Problem Solving & Analytical Skills
- Work experience in Financial Services
- Experience writing ANSI SQL code
- Experience with a scripting language, preferably Python
- Experience working with Cloud native databases
