Sr Accountant

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA designation preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public company manufacturing sector
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications. SAP and HFM highly desired
• Manages the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate
• Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded

accurately and in accordance with accounting principles • Prepares financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide detailed analysis of variances • Prepares and files quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Supports external audit engagements by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions and supporting schedules • Develops and maintains accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements • Provides guidance and support to accounting staff, assisting with training and development as needed • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and process improvements • Performs other accounting duties as assigned Physical Demands and Work Environment Office Setting
