Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Telemetry Nurse, Night Shift This role involves working in a healthcare organizations cardiac and telemetry unit. The Telemetry Nurse will independently provide routine and complex care to patients, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation. The position requires ensuring patient safety through efficient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Job Details: Position Description: Cardiac and telemetry patients; not a step-down unit. Guarantee of 36 or 48 hours per week; overtime is non-billable until after 48 hours. Shifts run from 7 PM to 7 AM. Required Qualifications: BLS certification from AHA, ACLS certification from AHA, RN License in the state of employment or compact, 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The candidate will practice independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care with the ability to plan long-term goals. They will administer medications using proper protocols, document patient care, and provide education to patients and families. Newly hired experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days of hire, including competency validations.
