Overview
Interventional Radiology Technologist (Radiology Tech) | Interventional Radiology Tech
Carbondale, Illinois, United States | Start date 09/14/2026 | 13 weeks travel assignment | guaranteed hours 36 per week | weekly pay $2,449-$2,542 per week | Shift: open to 8- or 10-hour shifts; start times vary between 7–9 a.m.; on-call required. This is a hospital-based travel assignment in an Interventional Radiology environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging in the interventional radiology/cath lab setting, including angiography procedures, under the supervision of IR physicians
- Operate fluoroscopy and IR-specific equipment; assist with sterile technique and procedural workflow
- Provide general radiography support when interventional procedures are not being performed
- Maintain radiation safety practices, patient positioning, and image quality; document procedures in the electronic health record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with the IR team, nurses, and physicians; participate in on-call coverage as required

Requirements
- Active Illinois radiologic technologist license (IEMA)
- ARRT board certification in Radiography
- Interventional Radiology or cath lab experience required; candidates with cath lab experience may be trained for IR-specific procedures
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred or as required
- Ability to work in an interventional radiology environment and participate in on-call shifts
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program (education details as provided in job notes)
