With our purified, high-precision cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.The Technician, Quality Control - Night Shift conducts routine and non-routine testing to ensure the highest quality standards in our cell therapy manufacturing facility. Your work will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our cell therapy products.Night Shift Hours Worked:• 6:00pm to 6:30am or• 6:30pm to 7:00amWork Week Schedule:• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + every other Wednesday or• Thursday, Friday, Saturday + every other WednesdayPhysical DemandsProduction Associate Roles: Must have visual acuity of 20/20 (corrected or uncorrected) and normal color vision to safely perform critical tasks such as visual inspection of materials, equipment, and labeling, including distinguishing color-coded components in a GMP environment.Must be able to meet cleanroom gowning requirements, including wearing full gowning (face coverings, gloves, hoods, goggles) for extended periods, as needed. Use of cosmetics (makeup, painted nails), jewelry, or facial piercings is not permitted in the cleanroom, and any skin conditions that cause shedding must be disclosed.Work ConditionsMust be able to work at either Orca Bio Sacramento location (3400 Business Dr. or 7910 Metro Air Pkwy) based on operational needs.Must be comfortable regularly participating in video-based meetings.May be required to work scheduled overtime, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.Job Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a range of basic to moderately complex analytical tests following cGMP guidelinesTest routine and non-routine samples; document results with accuracy and complianceMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure functionalityPrepare reagents and aliquot samples, including aseptic techniques when neededMonitor and maintain inventory of lab suppliesSupport assay transfers, validations, and equipment qualificationsAliquot samples as required, including aseptic aliquotingActively participate in group and project teamwork; project and process improvementsWork cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QC, and QA to resolve issues and implement corrective actionsFollow all cGMP documentation and procedural standardsPerform additional duties as assigned to support the Quality teamMinimum QualificationsA.S. or B.S. in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, microbiology, etc.) requiredHigh attention to detail and a commitment to data integrityStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated settingFlexible and responsive to changing priorities and team needsPreferred: Experience with analytical assays (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR)Preferred: Familiarity with aseptic technique in a GMP or biotech setting$65,465 - $70,921 a year Base hourly pay range: $24–$26. The annualized earnings range above reflects estimated scheduled overtime and a +10% night shift differential. Total compensation will vary based on assigned shift, overtime worked, and applicable differentials.The anticipated annual salary range for this job is based on prior experience in the role/industry, education, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. For remote-based positions, this range may vary based on your local market.
