Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team, responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects. This role includes preparing surfaces for concrete, shoveling concrete into construction areas, and performing general labor tasks. The Construction Laborer will also maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment, securing the job site daily to eliminate hazards, handling materials, and ensuring proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

• Perform manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces for concrete application.
• Shovel concrete into designated construction areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by securing tools and equipment daily.
• Handle and store materials appropriately.
• Load, unload, haul, and hoist materials as required.
• Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures.

• Knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction.
• Understanding of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to work schedules.
• Capability to lift heavy objects, walk, stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, forms, and framing.
• 1+ years experience in general labor, concrete construction, commercial construction, equipment operation, blueprint reading, and tape measure usage.
• OSHA 10 certification.

The role requires working both indoors and outdoors across various tasks and departments. You will be exposed to diverse weather conditions and must be able to walk on uneven terrain between buildings. The position demands physical endurance as you will be on your feet for extended periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, and working in squatting or kneeling positions. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses, must be worn at all times.

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, KS.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,KS.
