Overview of role: The part‑time Human Resources Intern will support the HR department by assisting with the organization, digitization, and maintenance of employee personnel records. This position provides valuable exposure to HR operations while ensuring that employee documentation is accurately scanned, indexed, and securely maintained in accordance with company policies and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities Scan and digitize employee personnel files and HR documents Organize electronic files using established naming conventions and filing procedures Review scanned documents for accuracy, completeness, and readability Assist with organizing and maintaining physical personnel files Ensure employee records are handled with strict confidentiality Identify missing or incomplete documentation and notify HR staff Perform data entry and update employee records as directed Assist with records retention and document management projects Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the HR team Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Comfortable using scanners, copiers, and other office equipment Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and follow established procedures The ability to sit, stand and move throughout the office for extended periods Ability to operate standard office equipment, including scanners, printers and computers What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience in HR operations Exposure to personnel records management and compliance practices Experience working with confidential business information Experience working with Workday as an HRIS Professional development in organization, administrative support and office technology Opportunity to work alongside experienced HR professionals and gain insight into broader HR functions Additional Information: The expected hourly rate for this position is $18-20 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is based in our Boston office and follows a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
