Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' emotional health, gathering information on the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Craft and collaborate with clients on individualized treatment plans that reflect their personal goals, values, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in your interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and strategies for self-care to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, regularly reviewing and adjusting plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to facilitate an integrated approach to client care, ensuring that psychiatric interventions complement therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adult clients experiencing challenges with mood disorders, including depression and anxiety. You will work with a diverse population, providing culturally competent care tailored to individual backgrounds, preferences, and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.

• A robust understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Proven history of achieving successful treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
