Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the needs, history, and treatment goals of clients seeking assistance with substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices that address each client’s unique challenges.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions, employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to instill confidence and strategies for recovery.

• Lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster peer support, sharing, and collaborative learning among individuals in recovery.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to client care.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and support to clients experiencing substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support network.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices, ensuring accountability and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents experiencing substance use disorders, each with diverse backgrounds and varying degrees of readiness for change. Your empathetic approach and commitment to recovery will help build trust and rapport with clients, encouraging them to engage fully in their treatment process.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with a valid state license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment options, including recovery-oriented care.

• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment context, ideally with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
