Escuela and Harwood are dedicated to building a love of lifelong learning, creative expression and positive impact on our community and our world.Position SummaryThe Programs Assistant will work in close collaboration with Core Harwood Staff to assist a roster of public programs and offerings related to Arts Education, Engagement, Opportunity and Outreach.Duties Include:GALLERIES & PUBLIC HOURS: In cooperation with Core Harwood Staff, supports Harwood's Gallery Program by assisting with gallery hours, inventory, online listings, sales and gallery upkeep.ARTIST TRADING CARDS: In cooperation with Core Harwood Staff, leads Harwood's Artist Trading Card Program by maintaining and ordering supplies, communicating with participating artists, assembling and shipping blank packets, organizing and maintaining digital databases and physical packets, and assisting with the card swap and mailing of finished artworks.ARTS EDUCATION & OUTREACH: In cooperation with Core Harwood Staff, supports teaching artists, guides, and speakers for our youth and/or adult arts education and outreach programs; manages, orders, and organizes supplies related to these programs.MEMBERSHIP: In cooperation with Core Harwood Staff, supports Harwood's membership program by maintaining databases and assembling and mailing membership packets.Minimum Qualifications - Equivalencies not found for this positionPreferred Qualifications - RequirementsKnowledge, skills and abilities required:Willingness to learn about Escuela del Sol Montessori - Harwood Art Center; our mission, philosophy and goals; Montessori educational philosophy;Willingness to serve as an ambassador and steward for our organization;Strong written, verbal and organizational skills;High integrity and attention to detail;Interest and passion for arts, culture, and community organizing.Familiarity with Apple computers, Microsoft Office, Google Suite;Openness to learn online platforms like Wufoo, Square Up, and Paperless Post and online registration programs such as Sawyer and Eventbrite;Capacity to follow instructions carefully, carry out projects independently, and manage time efficiently, as well as to collaborate with and nurture others;Ability to interact and communicate with all of the members of our community in a friendly, courteous and articulate manner;Commitment to arts, engagement, community, citizenship, education and professional development in New Mexico;Belief that agency, safety, and expression are universal rights and that diversity, equity, inclusion, representation, and access are essential.Licenses & RegistrationsA current driver's license or identification is required.
