About the Role:

We are seeking a certified and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. As a COTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being for our patients. Your expertise and dedication will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions and disabilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient goals and develop strategies to achieve them

• Implement therapeutic interventions and modalities, such as exercise programs, splinting, and adaptive equipment, to improve patient function and independence

• Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and guidelines

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and address patient needs

• Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
