Key Responsibilities:

• Support the OT in assessing residents’ functional capabilities, needs, and goals.
• Conduct activities to enhance fine motor skills, balance, cognition, and activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, eating, and grooming.
• Accurately document resident progress, therapeutic activities, and responses to treatments in compliance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
• Educate residents and their families on therapeutic activities and strategies to help maintain or improve function outside of therapy sessions.
• Ensure all treatment activities follow SNF safety protocols and adhere to HIPAA, state, and federal healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

• CPR certification (preferred).
• Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in PA
• Must hold a valid state license to practice as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility is preferred.
• Strong communication, patient care, time management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and position residents as needed for therapy.
