Compensation: $23/hour
Location: Garden City, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Medical Assistant (Bilingual) in Garden City, NY for our client, providing clinical and administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will support patient intake, vital signs, exam room preparation, medical documentation, basic clinical procedures, patient education, and daily patient care while working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers. This role requires formal Medical Assistant training or qualifying equivalent clinical education, along with bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.


Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant:

• Patient Intake: Greet patients, collect and document medical information, and prepare individuals for examinations and treatment.
• Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with examinations, basic procedures, and routine outpatient patient care.
• Patient Care: Perform assigned clinical support activities while following established safety and infection control procedures.
• Patient Education: Reinforce provider instructions regarding treatment, medications, follow-up care, and general health needs.
• Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate patient information, clinical records, and electronic medical documentation.
• Clinical Operations: Maintain examination rooms, medical supplies, equipment, and resources to support efficient daily patient care.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

• Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent qualifying clinical education or training is required.
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required.
• Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Experience: 1+ year of Medical Assistant or comparable outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of patient intake, clinical workflows, medical terminology, infection control, and outpatient care procedures is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation systems is required, with NextGen experience preferred.
