Responsibilities Promotes a safe environment by identifying and reporting potential safety hazards and taking appropriate action in emergency situations. Participates in education and discharge planning using established education materials. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department, participating in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, and performs handwashing according to policy. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Graduate of an LPN program from a Technical/Vocational school Current State of Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. Articulates comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and specialty nursing theory and practice for all age groups. Preferred Qualifications Basic EKG certification IV Certified NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Pay Range $20.97 - $38.99 Background Screening Requirement Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
