Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Georgia Educator Certificate in the area of Visual Impairment
• Previous virtual teaching experience as a TVI in school settings is required
• Strong documentation skills; daily service logs are part of this role’s responsibilities
• Comfortable collaborating with school staff to determine the best student fit based on your preferred age group and expertise

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction via online platforms to students with visual impairments
• Assess individual student needs and adjust instructional materials accordingly
• Maintain accurate, timely daily logs to track services delivered
• Communicate with caregivers and school personnel to support student growth and access
• Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development as needed
• Assist with pre- and post-academic year planning as requested

This contract requires availability for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year, from early August through late May, including possible planning days before and after classroom instruction.
