Accountant Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. This position is responsible for duties including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and sales and use tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with operations and leadership while helping ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This position is direct hire and will pay between $70K and $85K annually. Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee sales and use tax filings, account reconciliations, and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key general ledger accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing-related financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Work closely with operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and improve reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close responsibilities.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
