Our team of radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, therapists and nurses are all specially trained to treat specific cancers, and we work side-by-side with other Johns Hopkins experts, including surgical oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and interventional radiology to create individualized treatment plans for each patient, using targeted technology. Our patient safety program - cited as one of the best in the nation - employs quality assurance protocols and innovative techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all our patients. Johns Hopkins Radiation Oncology department is currently searching for Chief Radiation Therapist to help lead our elite team. As a Chief Radiation Therapist, you will: Assist in orienting new staff and students Oversee staff and ensure proper coverage in clinical and support areas Conduct monthly departmental meetings with Manager Observe and enforce all radiation safety measures for patients and staff Lead departmental initiatives Develop policies and procedures for the therapist staff What Awaits You? Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist Valid CPR card Seven (7) or more years of Radiation Therapy experience (with progressive responsibility) Status Full-Time, 40 hours per week Day Shift Weekend Work Required On Call Required Important Notices ***Authorization to Work in the United States:Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position. Salary Range Minimum 48.40/hour - Maximum 79.92/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
