About the Position

Facility near Pittsburgh, PA seeking Urgent Care APP locums coverage

Rates: $130/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute non-life-threatening conditions including cold/flu, rashes, sprains, minor burns, and lacerations.

• Perform splinting, I&Ds, wound care, and basic radiologic procedures (X-ray/EKG).

• Serve pediatric and adult populations.

• Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation.

• Escalate high-acuity cases to nearby emergency departments.

Qualifications

• Board Certified NP or PA with active Pennsylvania license and DEA registration.

• At least 2 years of experience in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine.

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

• Competence in orthopedic procedures, wound care, and managing all age groups.

• Independent clinical decision-making capability.

• Minimum availability: 3 shifts per month (12 shifts/month preferred for full-time).

Practice Environment

• Average volume: 3–4 patients per hour.

• Staffed with medical assistants and radiologic technologists.

• Sites are staffed with 1–3 providers; remote physician backup available if no MD is onsite.

• Travel between 4 locations (max distance: 30 miles).
