Experienced Security Site Supervisor

Responsibilities Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more client site posts; ensure post orders are followed, rounds are completed, and required reports are filed; notify authorities and clients in emergency situations. Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate; consult with company management or designated representatives; meet personally with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions. Train Security Officers and other personnel; review post orders and assignment details with subordinates. Assist in submission of payroll and personnel information to the company. Work with company management or representatives to ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions. Prepare, file, and submit various required reports. Inspect posts as scheduled and brief subordinates on tasks and responsibilities. Meet with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to confirm security requirements are met and to provide quality customer service. Perform supervisory duties such as interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning, directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring or termination recommendations, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. May perform duties of a Security Officer under post orders and company policy. Education and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Minimum 2 years of retail experience preferred. Competencies Required to hold and maintain any applicable state, county, and municipal license for Security Officers. Knowledge of security operations, focusing on patrol, inspection, and response services. Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance. Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls. Ability to learn quickly and follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments. Team‑work ability. Professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances. Courteous telephone manner. Adaptability to various sites and changes in post procedures. Written communication skills for routine logs and reports. Good organizational skills. Strong customer service and results orientation. Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with clients across diverse cultures. Working Conditions Maintain composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under urgency or high‑pressure situations. Possible exposure to stressful situations, including confronting individuals in unauthorized areas. Must pass background checks, reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection surveys, and meet any mandatory licensing requirements. Direct and discipline staff positively. Work overtime may be required without advance notice. Handle multiple tasks concurrently. Basic computer usage and operating controls. Clear communication—seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing—to observe and report incidents. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods; may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and moving on uneven terrain. Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds, sometimes up to 25 pounds. Requirements for close, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Regular use of vehicle for job duties. May be required to perform stressful and physical activity on occasion. Exposure to inclement weather or environments requiring protective gear and personal safety awareness. Handling of sensitive and confidential information.
