Associate Attorney

Your Role The position is a full-time attorney role within our General Liability practice group, focused on ensuring client success through legal support and strategy execution. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents under senior guidance. Prepare cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring all documentation and evidence are organized. Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns. Manage discovery, including document reviews, discovery responses, and interrogatory and deposition processes. Represent clients in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials with oversight from senior attorneys. Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives. Meet assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management and task prioritization. Attend continuing legal education (CLE) programs and stay updated on changes in the law and emerging trends. Demonstrate dedication to the firm's mission, values, and growth by contributing to team projects and firm initiatives. Qualifications Experience: At least 1‑5 years as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation cases. Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to automotive liability. Skills: Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education: JD from an accredited school. Admission: Admitted to practice in the State of CT or MA. Personal Qualities: Discretion in handling confidential information, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork.
