Assistant Controller

One of the world's premier private clubs, located in Manhattan is seeking a regular full-time Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will assist the Controller and Management staff with assistance with all financial-related tasks.
Requirements:
• Assist the Controller with financial statements.
• Audit weekly payroll.
• Daily summary of bank transactions and monthly bank account reconciliations
• Oversee, monitor, and work to improve accounting procedures, internal controls,
and database management.
• Audits workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed
accurately and in compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in preparing budgets.
• Prepare journal entries, review invoices and reconciliation of general ledger
accounts.
• Assist the Controller with special projects as necessary.
• Manage monthly closing processes.
• Handles special projects as requested by the Controller.
• Direct financial statement and defined benefit plans audits
• Prepare Federal and State tax filings

multi-tasker.

• Possesses strong leadership, supervisory and management abilities.
• Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology.
• Displays vast knowledge of math and exceptional accounting skills.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written
communication skills
