This is a unique opportunity to join one of Napa Valley's most anticipated culinary destinations and be part of our opening team - apply today!What You'll Do:A Barback performs tasks to support the bartender in the bar service area including stocking items, conducting inventories of products and ensuring they are always replenished. This position supports the Bartender and staff with beverage quality and cleanliness.Your Key Responsibilities:Have an extensive knowledge of our restaurant's food offerings and beverage programComplete tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the BartenderProperly handle cash and inventory sheets if neededReplenish the ice and prepare food items needed in the preparation of drinksOrganize and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc. in bar area or liquor room(s)Maintain safety practices and proper sanitation of work area, including cleaning service equipment in bar areaPerform station opening/closing and side work duties for each shift, includes bar set-up and/or bar break-downFollow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests, assess guest's demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of the restaurant managerCreate a welcoming environment for guests by greeting them, thanking them, and saying "good-bye"Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressureEmbody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitalityRequirements:What we are looking for:2 years previous and relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurantAbility to multi-task and work efficiently under pressurePossess a strong familiarity with applicable safety laws and proper sanitation regulationsStrong communication skills, both with guests and teammatesA positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethicFlexible availability to work days, nights, weekends – we're looking for team players who can adapt to the flow of the restaurantA valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training Certificate (must have upon hire)Ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and manage a physically demanding roleMust be 21 years or olderWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
