RN- Registered Nurse- Advance Acute Care Trauma Unit

Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer an Inpatient RN a hiring incentive up to $23,500 for eligible candidates. The position offers a minimum hourly rate of $41.41 with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Responsibilities Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards. Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education and discharge planning. Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based upon patient response. Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs. Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment. Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding the utilization of evidence‑based practice. Actively participate as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals and be accountable for unit and system‑specific metrics. Actively participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety. Qualifications Graduate from a Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required). Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management (Preferred). Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body). Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (RN_State of Pennsylvania). Position Details Shift: Day, 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; weekly hours: 36.
