Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer an Inpatient RN a hiring incentive up to $26,000 for eligible candidates! Minimum hiring rate of $41.41 with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Location and Schedule Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV). Shift: Days (United States of America). Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Hours: 7:00a.m.–7:30p.m.; every other weekend and holiday required. Responsibilities Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards. Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team. Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response. Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs. Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment. Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding utilization of evidence‑based practice. Act as a team member working toward unit and organization goals; account for unit and system‑specific metrics. Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety. Qualifications Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred). Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Basic Life Support Certification. Able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
