Packaging Assembler

Packaging Assembler Job Description Required Testing: Eye exam is required. Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Skills and Experience: 0-1 year experience operating production, packaging, or assembly equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality inspections and accurately complete production documentation. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and Quality System Requirements (QSR). Basic computer skills with experience using manufacturing systems (such as SAP) or the ability to accurately record production and batch information. Packaging Assembler Responsibilities: Operate production equipment with the Sharps Department, while meeting quality, productivity, waste, and safety goals. Operate all packaging equipment, ensuring that product is properly packed and labeled per specification. Participates as team associate in activities required to ensure successful daily operations of the Sharps Department. Operates all equipment at acceptable quality and quantity levels. Performs quality checks as required by specifications. Maintains accurate production, downtime and quality check records. Notifies technical personnel of equipment malfunctions. Utilizes Batch Numbers as assigned in SAP. Stamps Batch Numbers on shelf cartons and case cartons with correct product and batch information. Performs general housekeeping duties throughout shift.
