As a Senior Field Service Technician , you’ll operate independently in a company‑provided service van, delivering advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material‑handling equipment across customer sites. You’ll also serve as a technical leader — mentoring junior technicians, setting quality standards, and helping drive operational excellence in the field. This is not an entry‑level role. What You’ll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van Support warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems Execute first‑time‑right repairs Perform inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards Train and support junior technicians Share technical knowledge and best practices Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and workmanship Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards Who Thrives in This Role 5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or industrial equipment technician Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience working independently in the field Valid driver’s license ASE certifications Forklift or OEM certifications Dealer or industrial service experience Familiarity with diagnostic software and digital service platforms Strong problem‑solving ability Customer‑facing communication skills Leadership mindset Pride in your work Field‑based role across varied job sites Ability to lift 50+ lbs Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in diverse weather conditions Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial environments What WMH Offers Competitive pay + performance incentives 100% paid travel time (no flat rate) Company van, fuel card, tablet, PPE & safety shoe allowance Quarterly tool allowance Uniforms provided and laundered weekly Medical, dental, vision, life insurance (HSA & PPO options) 401(k) with up to 9% match + profit sharing OEM certifications & technical training Leadership development & mentorship PTO + paid holidays Long‑term career stability in a growing industry Many WMH leaders started in technician roles.
