Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Prestige Fleet Services is a rapidly growing fleet maintenance network providing on-site truck and trailer repair services. What You’ll Do Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after‑treatment systems, lift‑gates, tires, etc. Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Repair or replace vehicle/trailer components. Open and close repair orders on a company‑issued device. Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all other required documentation in a timely manner. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years diesel and trailer repair experience preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed. Valid driver’s license required. Self‑motivated with excellent organization and planning skills. Experience using a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders (adding labor hours, updating statuses). At least 2 years performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections. Basic computer skills. Must possess proper tools. Preferred Skills High school education or equivalent. Certifications are a plus. Welding experience. CDL a plus. Working Conditions Work outdoors and under extreme weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
