Responsibilities The HR Generalist is responsible for providing support to managers and associates across a variety of locations. Provides guidance and consultative support to business leaders and manages employee relations including: conducting investigations; managing performance issues; delivering management training; ensuring compliance; interpreting policies and procedures; and coaching and counseling of managers and employees. In addition, the HR Generalist will act as a change agent for developing and implementing new HR initiatives that are aligned with the talent needs of the business. Position is hybrid with a required 3 days in office. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Counsels and advises employees, managers, and business leaders regarding people, policies, culture, organization and employee issues. Partners with business leaders and Recruiter to ensure qualified candidates are available to fill open positions, participates in interviews, and ensures new hire documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner. Facilitates annual performance and merit review process. Coach managers on writing and conducting effective performance reviews. Facilitates training on employee development, coaching and other management topics. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Oversees new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives. Analyzes exit interview and other data and provides recommendations to improve employee retention. Mediates employee concerns and/or complaints. Conducts investigations and recommends corrective actions. Utilizes data driven metrics to make recommendations to improve organizational and business effectiveness for the region. Participates as part of the management team. Reports LOAs, WC injuries and accidents. Maintains records and employee files. Embodies the CoolSys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety). Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education / Training Bachelor’s degree relevant to Human Resources. PHR or SPHR designation preferred. 2-4 years’ HR experience. Strong operational leader who has working knowledge and experience in all areas of Human Resources. Work Experience / Skills Exceptional interpersonal skills including listening, coaching and the ability to develop strong relationships and lead people at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated strong ethics and trustworthiness. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule in order to meet deadlines and business needs. Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
