Position Overview

The Market Branch Sales Manager is responsible for owning the commercial performance of their assigned market by driving profitable sales growth, expanding market share, deepening vendor partnerships, and elevating customer experience. This leader will coach, develop, and align the branch team around sales execution, operational discipline, and growth-oriented behaviors that support AlarMax’s strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate combines sales leadership, market intelligence, team development, and operational oversight. This role is accountable for meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and margin targets while building a high-performance selling culture that reflects AlarMax’s Core Values.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Execution

• Own branch revenue and margin performance; build and execute plans to achieve targets.
• Develop regional business plans for contractors, integrators, and distribution customers.
• Lead daily/weekly sales rhythms, pipeline reviews, and opportunity management via CRM.
• Increase wallet share with existing customers while expanding into new accounts.
• Deliver on company-driven sales campaigns and growth programs with discipline and action.
• Ensure strong vendor alignment to grow strategic suppliers and priority lines.

Market Development

• Analyze business conditions, competitive threats, pricing movements, and technology trends.
• Establish the branch as the preferred distribution partner in the market.
• Drive customer engagement, training events, counter-days, product demos, and ride-along.
• Represent AlarMax with a professional brand presence across the market.

Team Performance & Talent Development

• Recruit, onboard, and coach talent that elevates branch capabilities.
• Train team members on sales processes, product knowledge, CRM utilization, and MaxIQ tools.
• Promote accountability, high standards, and disciplined follow-through.
• Build a culture centered around ownership, customer service excellence, and growth.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure daily branch performance follows company processes, procedures, and standards.
• Partner with branch operations to maintain inventory accuracy, counter service, and ordering discipline.
• Support financial controls, AR collections, and pricing policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Vendor, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams.

Vendor & Partner Engagement

• Strengthen relationships with priority vendor partners to support co-selling and market growth.
• Drive training, programs, SPAs, and initiatives that enhance competitive positioning.
• Surface vendor opportunities, gaps, and required actions.

Performance Measurements

• Branch revenue, margin, and profitability performance.
• Sales pipeline growth and CRM utilization.
• New account acquisition and account penetration.
• Vendor program activation and sales of strategic lines.
• Customer retention and satisfaction.
• Adherence to operating standards, AR, pricing, and inventory controls.
• Talent development, engagement, and retention.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of sales or sales leadership experience in distribution, low-voltage, security, fire, electrical, or related technical industry.
• Proven track record of hitting sales plans and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen (pricing, margin, AR, forecasting).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
• High emotional intelligence with ability to influence, communicate, and coach.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and digital selling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Branch P&L experience.
• Existing market relationships across integrators, contractors, and security dealers.
• Experience building or scaling a territory.
• Vendor partnership familiarity with major manufacturers.
