Lead Software Engineer - Market Risk SRE

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
• We seek demonstrated proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability practices.
• We require fluency in Python.
• We require experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows, such as incident investigation and knowledge capture, with careful validation and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We expect the ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for accuracy and risk, establish appropriate team guardrails, and align outcomes with resiliency and security expectations.
• We seek proficiency in observability, including white- and black-box monitoring, service-level objective alerting, and telemetry collection.
• We require proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tools.
• We require proficiency with containers and container orchestration.
• We seek experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• We expect advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, developing depth in one or more technical disciplines, and the initiative to evaluate and recommend suitable emerging technologies.
• We value familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• We value familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, including deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based applications.

• We expect you to model and champion site reliability practices and share knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.
• You will lead initiatives that improve application and platform reliability and stability, using data-driven analysis to improve service levels and proactively address technology bottlenecks in your areas of expertise.
• You will collaborate with your team to define service-level indicators and work with stakeholder partners to establish appropriate service-level objectives and error budgets.
• You will use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, validating outputs and handling operational data according to its sensitivity and security requirements.
• You will serve as the primary contact during major incidents affecting your application and work to identify and resolve issues quickly to help prevent business losses.
• You will provide technical expertise and advice across one or more domains, mentoring other engineers.
• You will lead the adoption of reusable, AI-assisted reliability workflows across software development lifecycle and toolchain practices, including CI/CD quality checks, test and validation automation, and operational readiness, while ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls.
• You will lead resiliency design reviews, break complex problems into manageable work for engineers, act as technical lead for medium- to large-sized products, and advise and mentor colleagues.
