Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Henderson, Nevada. The clinic offers a warm and supportive atmosphere where interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged. You will work alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, facilitating a holistic approach to rehabilitation. The typical working environment is structured, with set hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, although some flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment strategies, tailored to each patient's specific rehabilitation goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and stretches, ensuring supportive and safe interactions that promote physical recovery and well-being.
• Educate patients on effective body mechanics and home exercise programs to aid in their rehabilitation and long-term recovery.
• Administer various modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapy, under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality in accordance with prescribed therapeutic goals.
• Prepare treatment environments by organizing equipment and ensuring all supplies are readily accessible for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients, fostering recovery through encouragement and motivation during their rehabilitation process.
• Adhere to professional ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate degree.

• Certification in CPR and basic life support.

Compensation and Benefits
