Controller

We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Controller to lead our accounting function in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. This role is responsible for overseeing all day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes. The Controller will lead and develop a team of five accounting professionals while partnering with leadership to support the company's growth and operational objectives. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces technology, and has a proven track record of implementing automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Key Responsibilitie Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five accounting professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Oversee all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures. Identify, implement, and optimize technology solutions, automation tools, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes to support a growing organization. Partner with operational and executive leadership to provide financial insights and support business decision‑making. Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors. Monitor cash flow, balance sheet activity, and key financial metrics. Continuously evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to support increased transaction volume and business growth. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications a plus. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Proven experience managing accounting operations in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated success leading and developing accounting teams. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience leveraging ERP systems, automation tools, and technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
