Controller

Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Controller . This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, managing financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring accurate financial data for business decision‑making. Job Duties Prepare quarterly reforecasts using historical results and future business assumptions Assess current accounting operations and implement process improvements Prepare work papers supporting the monthly close process and month‑end balances Review and post receipts and payments to appropriate ledgers, spreadsheets, records, and databases Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approve payments Monitor budget and forecast variances and provide timely financial updates to management Evaluate accounting processes and internal control systems Coordinate external audit activities and prepare required regulatory reports Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 8+ years of experience in a Controller role 8+ years of experience interpreting financial reports and legal documents 5+ years of experience presenting financial information to senior management, boards, or executive stakeholders Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and month‑end close documentation Experience applying mathematical concepts including percentages, ratios, proportions, probability, and statistical inference Experience working with accounting ledgers, spreadsheets, records, and financial databases Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Experience in a plant, manufacturing, or operational accounting environment Experience supporting plant leadership with financial analysis and operational reportingExperience hiring, training, and managing accounting staff Experience coordinating activities with external auditors Experience preparing documentation and reports for regulatory agencies Experience evaluating and improving internal controls We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). #J-18808-Ljbffr
