Details Work in the PACU unit of an acute care hospital Day and evening shifts available (5x8 hours), with start times staggered between 0600 and 0830 Nurses are expected to remain until the completion of their assigned cases, as outpatient surgery does not offer shift relief Floating between sister facilities within the system may be required EMR: Epic required Requirements Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted BLS and ACLS certification required PALS certification required CCRN and CPAN certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute PACU experience required ICU experience preferred Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Experience with Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery preferred Experience with a wide range of surgical cases including ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular preferred Skills in cardiac monitoring, arterial line management, and dysrhythmia recognition preferred Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide perianesthesia nursing care to patients in pre- and post-operative phases Scrubs or business casual attire permitted Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront Candidates living within 50 miles may be considered local, though travel pay may still apply Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility First-time travelers will be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-772119.
