Now Hiring: Member Services Representative

Location: Akron, OH (Akron/Canton area residents only)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite required during 4 weeks training and as needed)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Type: Seasonal Contract

 

About the Role

We're seeking a Member Services Representative who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. In this role, you'll assist health plan members with questions related to benefits, enrollment, claims, billing, and more while ensuring a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, and in person
✅ Assist with enrollment, eligibility, benefits, billing, claims, and authorizations
✅ Document member interactions accurately and ensure timely issue resolution
✅ Meet quality, productivity, and customer service performance goals
✅ Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
✅ Resolve member concerns using strong problem-solving and communication skills
✅ Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional member support

 

Qualifications

✔ High School Diploma or GED required (College coursework preferred)
✔ 2+ years of customer service, call center, or administrative support experience
✔ Medicare and/or Health Insurance experience strongly preferred
✔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✔ Strong computer proficiency with Windows-based systems
✔ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
✔ Professional, empathetic, and service-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Amisys or Macess health insurance systems is preferred
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and insurance processes
Strong keyboarding skills, VPN, and remote work capabilities

 

Training

Approximately 4 weeks of in-person training/orientation is required before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.
