Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
• Explain procedures to patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.
• Follow safety protocols and uphold a professional environment at all times.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient confidentiality.
• Perform specimen collection and processing duties confidently in both clinical and forensic settings.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, adhering to quality standards.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide error-free, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Experience with customer service in retail or service environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to established procedures.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
