GL Accountant Sr

As a CBRE GL Sr. Accountant, you will update and maintain records, reconcile general ledger accounts, participate in customer invoicing process, submit customer invoices through online portal and/or internal process, submit A/P invoices, process expense reports, manage time card approvals for Costa Rica, prepare journal entries, and process intercompany invoicing for revenue reimbursements. This person will join like-minded professionals who are continually focused on sharpening their skills and advancing in their profession.

What You'll Do

• Claim and record wire receipts from customers.
• Review sub accounts on Balance Sheet and Income Statement for Costa Rica.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and revenue entry for Costa Rica.
• Coordinate and follow up with Project Managers and Account Managers on open timecards, approvals, and corrections.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and coding of accounts payable and expense reports for intercompany.
• Prepare expense reports for Per Diems and travel related expense reports and track fixed assets.
• Update the monthly cash flow and prepare accounting related documents for external accounting firm.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
