Commercial Manager – Major Commercial Project Team Location: United States (Florida, Orlando) – Hybrid (3 days in office). Project can be based in any of STV’s major national offices (New York, NY; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Texas offices; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; Washington state offices; Lake Oswego, OR; California offices, etc.). Expiration: None – role is open. RESPONSIBILITIES Administer all commercial and contractual matters for a specific Project, minimizing risk and maximizing opportunity. Ensure all commercial processes and procedures are adhered to. Develop a culture of commercial awareness across the project. In conjunction with the Project Director and Commercial Director, establish a commercial strategy with clear objectives. Review and respond to all correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor. Identify commercial risks and opportunities, managing them through to conclusion to minimize STV liability. Manage the timely submission of potential change orders in accordance with contractual obligations. Prepare timely sub‑consultant agreements, coordinating scope with engineering staff. Administer sub‑consultant agreements to ensure accurate liabilities, timely payments, and issuance of necessary notices. Coordinate claims management, ensuring responses are provided promptly. Provide accurate Profit and Loss (P‑L) and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports per STV procedures. Maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle. Encourage direct staff to take responsibility for specific project sections. Fulfil any additional tasks reasonably within the role’s scope. COMPETENCIES Minimum of 10 years’ experience with large‑scale commercial builder contracting, preferably within the AEC market. Strong financial background and understanding of contractual law. Technical knowledge in commercial, contract, and risk management. Exposure to large engineering and construction projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to resolve problems independently and operate efficiently under pressure. QUALIFICATIONS Degree in construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
