Purchasing Specialist Location: Buena Park, CA Salary Range and Other Compensation: $43.00 to $53.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; some Saturdays required; Onsite About the Role: This is a fast-paced, office‑based contract role supporting a growing team building out a new facility for a major aerospace project. The environment is busy and dynamic, requiring a professional who can hit the ground running with minimal direction to fill a critical gap in purchasing capacity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualify vendors while negotiating pricing and contract terms. Create and manage contracts in strict compliance with ITAR requirements. Own end-to-end procurement processes independently. Monitor vendor quality and maintain a current vendor database. Manage purchasing for racks, facility equipment, and aerospace equipment. Create RFQs as needed to support facility expansion and project requirements. Qualifications: 5 plus years of experience purchasing for racks, facility, and aerospace equipment. Proven ability to read and understand drawings and procurement specifications. Strong background in ITAR compliance. Expertise in cost avoidance and contract negotiation. Proficiency in Site Line ERP and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel. Highly independent and solution-oriented with the ability to take full ownership of work.
