Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students at a specialized school for children with Autism as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work in person with a diverse student population ages 3-21 during the 26.27 school year. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff, contributing your expertise to help students achieve their communication goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Active New York State SLP license
- NY Teaching Certification—TSSH or TSSLD
- Ability to work full time (35 hours per week) on site
- Experience or strong interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials welcomed
Key responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and communication needs of students across various age groups
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor progress and document outcomes per educational guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment focused on student growth
