The CoS will be responsible for turning the conference's strategic vision into action, aligning priorities across the organization, and driving results. This role requires a candidate with executive presence, operational rigor, and a deep understanding of college athletics, governance, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of initiative and collaboration, be proficient with current technology, and be creative in resolving complex issues. Duties include serving as a proxy and liaison for the Commissioner, leading strategic planning, managing critical information requirements, orchestrating meetings, and driving innovation and continuous improvement. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have 5-10 years' of progressive experience in Division I NCAA athletics administration, conference office operations, or professional sports management. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's or advanced degree in Sports Management or Business highly preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting C-suite executives, managing complex relationships, and leading large-scale initiatives. They must be adept at building trust, and credibility, and have a genuine commitment to the mission of collegiate athletics. The role demands an exceptional communicator who is collaborative, service-oriented, and models high integrity. Experience in policy management, digital operations, and a strong background in athletic department operations are also essential.
