Job Description As a Security Officer Front Desk Alarm Monitoring in Charleston, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide helpful customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a professional, secure environment while communicating clearly with employees and guests. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat12:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun12:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records in accordance with site procedures. Operate front desk communications systems, direct visitors to appropriate offices, and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or designated site contacts as needed. Maintain a professional front desk presence that helps to deter unauthorized access while supporting a welcoming environment for the public. Minimum Requirements: Alarm panel experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
