Sr. Lead Software Engineer, Digital Banking

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• We need expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages
• We need demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices using enterprise-authorized tools, including standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability and traceability of changes, and secure handling of sensitive data
• We need a strong understanding of responsible AI usage and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security and resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance
• We need the ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse of AI-enabled engineering practices
• We need experience applying expertise and emerging methods to solve complex technology problems across one or more technical disciplines
• We need practical cloud-native experience
• We need an understanding of business context and how technology decisions affect customer and organizational outcomes

• We will architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows using enterprise-authorized tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale, including AI-driven pull request review support, test generation and maintenance, release readiness checks, and incident triage and root-cause acceleration
• We will define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams, setting standards for human-in-the-loop oversight, auditability, and secure handling of sensitive data
• We will design and build complex, scalable coding frameworks using suitable software design patterns that can be reused across teams and functions
• We will develop secure, high-quality production code and perform rigorous code reviews and debugging across the engineering organization
• We will help define enterprise-scale, target-state AI-enabled architecture for solutions within Consumer & Community Banking to deliver best-in-class, next-generation customer experiences
• We will collaborate with product and engineering leaders to define roadmaps and solution architectures aligned to target-state goals
• We will apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchains, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize the value of automation at scale
• We will advise cross-functional teams on technology matters within our domain of expertise, serving as the go-to subject matter expert for AI-enabled engineering practices
• We will drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including AI-assisted code review and refactoring, test strategy acceleration, and incident and root-cause analysis support
