Job Title: 1st Shift Production Supervisor | $28-$36/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Production Supervisor to oversee machine operation and maintenance. Located in Hartville, OH, this role involves providing leadership and technical guidance to operators, assisting with training on machine operations, and overseeing a team in both machine operations and quality departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide floor leadership and technical guidance to operators.
• Assist in training on proper machine operation and procedures.
• Oversee a team of 10-20 people in machine operations and quality departments with assistance from Leads.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
• Assist with setup and changeovers on injection molding presses, including tooling installs, insert swaps, and process start-ups.
• Monitor production systems (IQMS/ERP) to coordinate and execute scheduled changeovers efficiently.
• Troubleshoot molding process issues and support production uptime, making adjustments to maintain quality and cycle times.
• Enter and track production data, including scrap and downtime reporting on a daily basis.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and assist with equipment upkeep related to molding operations.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in machine operation and basic maintenance, preferably in plastic injection or Blow Molding & Extrusion.
• Leadership skills to motivate and lead people.
• Mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills.
• Proficiency in supervision and leadership.
• Experience in blow mold, extrusion, machine setup, machine changeover, operation, injection mold, and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in injection molding or similar (Plastics/Rubber Manufacturing) with setup/changeovers strongly preferred.
• Understanding of processes and manufacturing to lead a team and set parameters and goals.
• Working knowledge of plastics manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to lead by example and communicate effectively with operators, quality, and production leadership.

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
