Provide specialized gastroenterology services, including ERCP procedures, in a well-equipped hospital environment with integrated GI clinics. Manage 24-hour call coverage on a scheduled basis, supporting the hospital from Monday morning through Friday evening. Enjoy a balanced schedule that minimizes weekend work while ensuring comprehensive patient care. Collaborate with hospitalists and colorectal surgeons to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a small-town atmosphere with big-city amenities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with valid board certification in Gastroenterology
• Active state medical license in Michigan or eligibility for licensure
• Proven experience in gastroenterology procedures, including ERCP
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle 24-hour call coverage efficiently and professionally

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Prior locum or temporary practice experience
• Experience working in community hospital settings
• Fluency in additional languages to better serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Completion of fellowship in Gastroenterology
• At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical practice
• Experience managing both outpatient GI clinics and inpatient consults

Other Requirements:

• Travel and lodging expenses, with specific guidelines and caps, as outlined in the policy
• Malpractice insurance coverage must be included in your hourly rate
• Availability to start as early as March 1, 2026, with ongoing coverage through early 2027
• Ability to perform ERCP procedures is required
