Arborist Account Manager

About the Opportunity

Joshua Tree Experts-the premier outdoor home service company in Piscataway, NJ-is seeking a motivated, high-performing sales professional to join our team as a Sales Arborist / Arborist Account Manager.

In this pivotal, year-round role, you will take ownership of a dedicated territory, manage client relationships, and drive business growth by selling high-value, premium tree, lawn, and plant health care services to an affluent clientele that prioritizes quality.

No prior arboriculture expertise required: If you possess strong sales drive, exceptional communication skills, and an interest in the outdoors, we will fully train you on the industry knowledge required to succeed.

Core Responsibilities

• 
  

  Consultative Selling: Utilize relationship-based sales strategies to prospect, educate prospective clients, and close high-ticket service agreements.



• 
  

  Territory Management: Actively grow your pipeline in high-end neighborhoods through prospecting, networking, and referral generation.



• 
  

  Estimating & Proposing: Perform on-site property inspections, calculate job costs, and deliver prompt, professional estimates.



• 
  

  Client Experience & Retention: Conduct post-job follow-ups to resolve any concerns, ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and build lasting relationships.



• 
  

  Operational Partnership: Work closely with office staff on scheduling and coordinate directly with production crews to ensure client specifications are met.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 
  

  Experience: 2+ years of proven success in outside sales, B2C sales, or account management.



• 
  

  Sales Capabilities: Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals, pipeline generation, negotiation, and closing skills.



• 
  

  Communication Skills: Excellent face-to-face presentation, phone etiquette, and customer service skills, with comfortable confidence engaging affluent homeowners.



• 
  

  Problem-Solving & Tech Skills: Detail-oriented, comfortable with basic computer systems (CRM software experience is a plus), and capable of prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision.



• 
  

  Licensing & Schedule: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; flexibility to work variable hours based on client schedules.



• 
  

  Education: High school diploma required (college degree preferred).



• 
  

  Industry Interest: A genuine interest in the green industry, landscaping, or tree care, with a commitment to learning plant health care (PHC) and tree identification.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)

• 
  

  Background in home services, construction, or green industry sales.



• 
  

  Functional knowledge of arboriculture, insect management, and plant disease control.



• 
  

  ISA Certified Arborist credential (if not certified, we offer support toward achieving certification) .
