The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. You will collaborate with the other architects , engineers and business to apply your technical expertise to create best solutions to solve impactful business problems.The work arrangement for this position is based on location.What Will You Do?Architecture responsibility within a segment of Technology Architecture in support of the Enterprise Data & Analytics business unitParticipate in technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutionsHands-on prototyping of new technology solutionsPartner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologiesProvides architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical patternDisplays strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernizationDrives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debtCreate a partnership with Software EngineeringLooks for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterpriseParticipates in defining target state technology architecture and roadmapsEnsures alignment of IT initiatives with the target stateWhat Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent with 4+ years of technology Engineering experienceOrganizational experience in an agile operating modelEstablished work in proof of concepts and technologyStrong proven Software Engineering experienceSupports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goalsInsurance technology experience desiredStrong grasp of value creation and business capability modelsInnovation and Continuous ImprovementJob Specific Technical Skills & CompetenciesHas hands on experience in build strategies, roadmaps and solution architecture in the last 3 yearsStrong experience architecting big data solutions using Data Lake, Data Warehouse , Data ProductsChampion of data technologies in areas of data integration, Business Intelligence and AI/MLExpertise architecting and developing solutions in AWS, Snowflake and DatabricksExperience in AWS components including: Lambda, Kinesis/Firehose, Airflow, Glue,Spark, EC2, SageMaker, S3, NoSQL database and API GatewayExperience in data streaming technologiesExperience with No SQL and GraphQL technologiesExperience in Data Modeling, Governance and Data ManagementExperience with specific DevOps and MLOps (Machine Learning) practicesCloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on CloudGood understanding of securityWhat is a Must Have?Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.Six years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture within a line of business or enterprise areaWhat Is in It for You?Health Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members – including spouses, domestic partners, and children – are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.Retirement: Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
