Accounting Assistant

JOB SUMMARY The Accounting Assistant performs clerical and entry-level accounting activities. QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate levels of judgment and discretion. Intermediate Level of Microsoft Word and Excel Attention to detail with strong emphasis on accuracy Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to various groups of internal and external customers Attention to detail with strong emphasis on accuracy Strong verbal/ phone skills The ability to maintain confidentiality EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma 2+ Years' experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently Must be able to operate normal office machinery Must be able to work in a usual office environment Must be able to perform intermediate level math calculations Must be able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers in person, by telephone, and by email Must be able to file effectively both numerically and alphabetically RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Maintain sales by state spreadsheet CGC PO coding and data entry Compile the CGC payables list and generate supplier checks Highlight and sort AP invoices Reconcile vendor statements Monitor email accounts Complete general filing Other duties may be assigned Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with match, company paid life and long-term disability insurance, and company paid onsite primary and mental health care.
