Position Overview

Smoker & Company LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our Leola, PA office.

This is an entry-level position with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour , with higher compensation considered for candidates with relevant experience.

The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting team with accounts payable processing, customer payment entry, vendor communication, filing, scanning, and general administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in accounting and business administration.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Dependability and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, especially during tax season.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Coursework or education in accounting, business, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and match invoices to purchase orders.
• Verify invoice information for multiple entities.
• Enter and process customer payments in the accounting system.
• Resolve vendor questions and invoice discrepancies.
• Track and order office supplies.
• Assist the billing and finance team as needed.
• Perform filing, scanning, and document management.
• Complete other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
