One of New York City’s most recognized and respected personal injury law firms is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to provide critical support to our attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
• Review medical records and possess knowledge of the workings of the Unified Court System.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Manage and maintain document management systems; SmartAdvocate experience a plus.
• Perform accurate data entry to update case information in databases.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed.
• Organize case materials and maintain orderly filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
• Support attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits and preparing trial binders.

 

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience with a plaintiff firm (personal injury required).
• Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clerical and data entry skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SmartAdvocate software preferred.
