One of New York City’s most recognized and respected personal injury law firms is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to provide critical support to our attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Review medical records and possess knowledge of the workings of the Unified Court System.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage and maintain document management systems; SmartAdvocate experience a plus.
- Perform accurate data entry to update case information in databases.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed.
- Organize case materials and maintain orderly filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits and preparing trial binders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience with a plaintiff firm (personal injury required).
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong clerical and data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SmartAdvocate software preferred.
